We should probably get on with finding a time to celebrate all the September birthdays. The long weekend is out for us, but other than that our weekends are pretty open for some gifts and fun. Kim when are you working? Everyone should comment about what works for them. Maybe the weekend of the 7th, 8th, and 9th? Hmmm...maybe we should try out mom and dad's new firepit? Just an idea.
Oh and for Susan's info these are the September b-days:
Jonathan - Sept 4
Dad - Sept 11
Ryan - Sept 23
Ummm...if you are wondering what to get Ryan here are some ideas:
1) Absolutely anything that has to do with the bombers - clothes, hats, mugs, game tickets(doesn't really matter where they are as long as he's there), a night out with Milt Stegall, joining the team for a practice....he did tell me the other day that the Bombers were the second love of his life...so see what you can do. I think I may have some competition here.
2) I pod
3) Gift Cert's for restaurants - Keg, Kelseys, etc.
4) Anything to do with running...good clothes, I guess the i pod is in with this one too, running watch that keeps track of his distance, time, pace, etc.
These are just some ideas. Oh and don't be worried if you think that maybe someone else is getting him something from the Bomber Store, b/c he would be happy if every gift he got came from there.
And I think that Dad needs to put a list on the blog of what he wants for his b-day.

Painting Party!!!!
Anyone have a hankering for a painting party? Next week Wednesday/Thursday you are welcome to come to my house to paint during the day. I really want to get all the painting (except for the kitchen) finished. The variety of colours will keep you in the painting mood for a long time (red, blue, yellow, purple). Come for the painting, but stay for the good time.

Home Sweet Home
Or maybe I should say Home Sweat Home. Our house is finally feeling more like home. It has taken quite a bit of work already....and sweat for that matter...but it finally feels like its getting there. The painting is well on the way and our backyard is finally looking like a place that we want to hang out in. Last weekend we tilled and seeded our grass in the backyard with lot's of help from mom and dad, and are already getting impatient to see the results. Our firepit is coming along and should be done in the next few weeks. Heads up that we will want to test it out with you guys. So we just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has helped out...mom and dad for working on the yard...kim, mom B. and mom P., ryan, and our sister-in-law amanda and niece deanna for helping me paint...and everyone that has come over to hangout with us is a huge help to making it feel more like home. So thanks!
Maybe I'll post some pictures yet...that is if I can convince Vince to come by and take some for me. Hmmm??
Oh and this doesn't mean that we won't need any help anymore. There's a lot more to do.

SKYLINEHARVEST IN THE NEWS
Written by AM 1250/ Mix 96 News
Wednesday, 01 August 2007Forage crops in the southeast are shaping up to fill the need for feed well into next year. Vince Braun from Skyline Harvest near Blumenort says second cut alfalfa is done, and was put up in very good quality condition. Moisture was a factor and slowed them down a bit. He says first cut came off as silage and was a lower quality but the quantity was very good. Braun says they took off more feed in first cut than they did in 4 cuts last year. He expects a third cut will come off, but says because of all the rain this spring the chances of taking a fourth cut have been washed away. Meanwhile, Skyline Harvest has started cutting some cereals and oilseeds and he expects they will begin taking off corn silage in the next couple of weeks.
