While You Were Out...

So, we have had a busy week with home reno's. We are very happy with the results, but need a break before we move on to do anything else. Here are some pics. My favorite part is that the color on the walls camouflages the couches 'cause we will probably be holding onto those for quite a while longer yet. Thanks for help.

Tough Patutties!

Okay everyone, I think we have come up with a game idea. Vince and I were talking this morning and made a decision...and it's not any of the ones we have all been talking about. Sorry, but a decision had to be made, we're cutting it too close this year.

We will be playing cranuim...tournament style. We will divide everyone up into teams and each team will choose 3 out of the 4 possible cranium cards to do...spellbound, acting, singing, sculpting. (I don't have this game, so I'm not sure if these are the right categories). Each team will choose 3 people to do the cards they choose (and each team will have different cards so that there is no cheating by overhearing the other teams) and it will run as a club cranium (1st team to finish all 3 wins). The first few rounds all teams will play at the same time. Once we have established some sort of ranking, we will enter into playoffs 1 team vs. 1 team until we have the winning team.

I just have a couple of questions.

1)Prizes???? Not sure.
2)Fact cards - should they be included? These cards will be an advantage in time, but if the team gets the question wrong they can not win the round...cause they can't just keep guessing (true/false, and multiple choice).

Let me know what you all think. Could you bring the game Jonathan...you have the Canadian version right?

The game for the weekend?

Hi Fam!

Did we ever decide which game we're going to do this weekend? The choices were the modified Who/What/When game or the Airport Security game. Please campaign and vote for your choice asap. I can pick up the supplies for either once I know which one we're doing. Thanks, eh!

Big Women's Event last night!

A special thank you to Ashleigh for the countless hours you spent making all that icing and decorating 200+ cupcakes. They looked totally awesome!!! Thanks to Susan and Kim for coming to keep us company and to listen to Grace relate about her struggles the last few years. I am always so thrilled to have such a great family! Today, I am dead tired! Somehow I couldn't fall asleep last night. My legs hurt so badly that I finally took some ibuprofen, but still couldn't sleep. Must have been all that running around. Hope you all get your information about Camp Arnes weekend coming up.

Problem

Ummm...this might be a problem,'cause we have been planning for a few months now already with Ryan's family to go to Grand Forks on the November long weekend. So, are there any other options? Spring might be best for us...except for the fact that Ryan would have a hard time taking a bit of time off work when he is just getting into his stucco season...but I think he could figure something out. Family holiday time!

Those of you who were here on Saturday evening, know that we were considering a trip to Minneapolis as a family. We were tentatively thinking of April, but it seems to be a bit rushed and maybe we need to consider doing something like this in the fall. Say maybe November. Would everyone be in favor of this? That way we can do some more research and find the best hotel and entertainment for our stay. By the way getting together on Saturday was the best. Is the game still on the agenda for Camp Arnes? Ashleigh, I need to get in contact with you about icing the cupcakes for the womens meeting. Are you still okay with everything?
