Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas

May the Lord's love & kindness surround our families, friends & especially those less fortunate than us this Christmas. I am very blessed to have Jason, my children & Jason's family to spend with. May we take some time this Christmas to pray for & remember those who do not have.

Let's clear everything up shall we?

When to celebrate Christmas together...

It looks as though the only available dates for our Christmas get together is the 29th-30th or the 30th-31st. Jonathan and I are very busy working around Christmas so earlier than this likely would not work out. Please respond quickly so that we can figure out which of these dates works the best for everyone.

When to bake cookies...

I hear that Amanda is available this weekend and tuesday. This weekend does not work for me, but tuesday would. Does that work for everyone else?

Christmas Lists

Jonathan and Kimberly's family Christmas list is at mom and dad's for the pick up. Vince and Ashleigh had also printed theirs out, but I don't know where they are (I have mine though). Amanda, Ryan, and Nadia's list is on the blog. Susan and the boys is on the blog. Mom and dad, and Jason's Christmas lists are in their minds eager to come out on paper or blog format soon!

Cookie Baking Time!

We should decide when it would be a good time to bake Christmas Cookies. It looks like the first week of December would be good for me. How's this for everyone and what kind of cookies would you like to bake?

Doerksen Family Christmas Information

Sorry this info is so late, Auntie Vange gave it to me at Auntie Helen's funeral and I forgot to talk about it last weekend. So, here's a copy of the letter she gave me...

"Dear Family,

Enclosed in this envelope you will find slips of paper for the family Christmas gift swap. Have everyone who wants to participate in the ggift exchange to pick a slip (at random with their eyes closed). Each slip has a time on it. You must choose a gift that is appropriate for that time of day or night. Example: 8:00am - might be coffee, 2:00am - might be a lullaby CD, warm milk, ear plugs, as creative as you can get. Gifts should be in the range of $5 - $10. Attach your time slip to your gift inside the wrapping.

Your family is also asked to bring the following (Ramona, Susan, Ashleigh, Kim, Amanda):
- Dessert for 45 people
- Punch for Lunch
- 1 tray of dainties (for faspa)
- 1 sweet salad

Party Date: December 21st @1:00pm
217 - 8th Street South (This means south of Pembina Ave)
Winkler, MB
Phone: 325-5029

Also bring warm clothes, skates, and possibly sleds.
Activities and surprises for children included.

Vange & Renee"

So, that's the scoop. I'll keep the time slips in my purse so we can try to remember to draw them the next time we're together. Or, when you see me next you can draw your slip.

How do you want to divide up the food bringing responsibilities?
